Picea pungens glauca
- Zone 2-3 – very hardy; resistent to draught.
- Grows well in full sun or shade.
- Grows best in fertile, well drained soil. Clay or clay-loam soils preferred, but sandy soils are tolerated.
- A stately evergreen with a neat horizontal branching pattern. Short, sharp needles are blue-green. A tall pyramid shaped conifer.
- Grows 20 metres (65 ft) or more tall and spreads 5 to 7 metres wide (15 to 20 feet).
